A Website of Her Own for Sunnygems' Handmade Jewellery Business
In Short
Hanna runs Sunnygems, a handmade metal-clay jewellery business in Wales — rings, necklaces, earrings, and clay workshops, sold through Etsy, Instagram, and in-person markets and events. Before working with Softy, she had no website of her own. In her own words, not having one "made me feel like I had no official brand presence."
Softy built Sunnygems a fully managed website — alongside Etsy and social media, not replacing them — and now looks after it for her. See it live at sunnygemsalchemy.com, or browse the full page-by-page tour on its portfolio page.
Before: No Website of Her Own
Sunnygems sold through Etsy, Instagram, and markets — real channels Hanna still uses today. What she didn't have was anywhere of her own to bring it together:
- No Central, Personal Home
Etsy, Instagram, and markets each work fine on their own, but none of them felt like an official home for the brand — nowhere to point a customer looking for one clear starting point.
- Managing Bookings and Customs Elsewhere
Workshop interest and custom-order requests were handled outside her own control. In her words, she's no longer "paying another service to do this."
- Hard to Find in Person
Customers wanting to catch Sunnygems at an upcoming market or event had no single, clear place to check the dates.
What Softy Built
Softy designed and built Sunnygems a fully managed website from scratch — a home for the brand that sits alongside Etsy and social media, not replacing them.
What Was Built
- A Full Catalogue, Ready to Enquire About
Every piece listed with its own page and price — customers can browse and enquire directly, rather than finding her only through Etsy.
- Workshop and Event Dates in One Place
Upcoming workshops, markets, and events listed clearly, with a simple way to register interest.
- A Custom-Order Enquiry Flow
Custom pieces can be requested directly through the site — no separate service needed.
- A Custom Visual Identity
A from-scratch script-and-serif look designed around Sunnygems' own brand, rather than a generic template.
Frequent Changes, No Extra Charge
Hanna is a frequent, hands-on client — by her own account, she's thrown "a lot of changes" at Softy pretty often since launch, and still does. Routine updates like these are included in the fixed monthly price with no per-request charge, typically turned around within a few working days. She describes the update process as "fast and reliable," with a system that "takes a lot of the work away" from her — she sends the details, and it's handled.
Since Launch
Sunnygems has been live since 1 August 2026. Three things Hanna points to directly:
- More Enquiries
Hanna reports that enquiries have increased since launch.
- Real Time Saved
In her own words: "I've saved so much time" — sending updates over and having Softy handle them, rather than making changes herself.
- A Presence That Feels Official
Having her own website, alongside Etsy and social media, gives the brand a presence Hanna says "makes it feel so much more special."
"If you want to save time in this busy-paced climate we live in, Softy will help with that aspect massively — and you get a beautifully designed website which runs flawlessly, with no need to deal with the hassle of managing it."
Is This You?
Sunnygems isn't a big brand — it's one person, making things by hand, who didn't have the time or the technical background to build and run a website herself. If that sounds like your business too — no website yet, or one nobody's touched in years — a fully managed website might be worth ten minutes of your time to talk through.
