Common questions
Is there a setup fee?
No. There is no setup fee. Your subscription starts on the day you sign up — this keeps the build moving and ensures we have what we need to get your site live as quickly as possible.
Who owns the website and domain?
You do — always. Your domain is registered in your name and your content belongs to you. If you ever decide to leave, everything comes with you. Domain registration and renewal is handled by us.
What if I already have a domain?
No problem — you keep it. We point it to your new site and take over renewal management if you'd like, or you can continue managing it yourself. Either way, it stays registered in your name.
What changes are included in the monthly fee?
Most things you'd normally ask a developer to do: text updates, new photos, updated hours, seasonal content, new pages, and additional sections — all included, with no per-request charge. Full redesigns and bespoke functionality are quoted separately.
Do I need to already have a website?
No. The service includes a full website build whether you're starting from scratch or replacing an existing site. If you already have a site, we replace it — you don't need to do anything with your current setup beforehand.
How long does it take to go live?
Most sites are live within a few weeks of us receiving your content and sign-off on the design.
What's the minimum commitment?
The minimum term is 12 months, paid monthly by direct debit. We lock in your price for that period — no increases.
What happens after 12 months?
After 12 months, the subscription continues month-to-month at the same price. We review pricing annually — if anything changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' written notice. You can also choose to renew for another 12 months at any time to lock your price in again.
Can I add extras later?
Yes. Most add-ons can be started or cancelled at any time, independent of your base subscription. SEO Management has a 3-month minimum term, since the initial keyword research and on-page work take time to pay off.
Why is SEO Management cheaper than a typical SEO retainer?
Traditional retainers often price in link building and time spent untangling an old site's technical issues. We skip both — every website we build starts on a clean technical foundation, and keyword research and reporting are handled through the same tools we use for our own site rather than manual agency hours. That focus is what keeps the price down.
